Our story

GMT Tavern was established in 2011 in the heart of Greenwich Village, on the corner of the hustle and bustle of Bleecker St & LaGuardia Place in New York City.

The tavern quickly became a locals favorite, with an impressive selection of 20 draught beers consisting of imported European beers, as well as a unique selection of domestic and local craft beers.

A seasonally reimagined cocktail list offers classic cocktails with a modern twist alongside GMT's own signature cocktails made with fresh ingredients by our experienced bartenders.

The menu consists of casual American staples; from Fish & Chips to our famous traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings & Yorkshire puddings. Lunch and dinner are served every day.

GMT Tavern hosts a diverse range of customers, from friends catching up over a pint and local business colleagues winding down after work, to families enjoying a lovely Sunday meal together, watching the world go by on this little corner of New York City.
